Cardio before or after your workout?

Okay, this is for everyone who goes to the gym or you have your own gym and you work out. Do you cardio before or after your workout? Workout? I have been starting to do cardio with before and after my workout and it makes me feel really good. But I know there's like some type of science behind it where you're actually supposed to do cardio after your workout. I know growing up I always like do cardio as a warm up

Before for a few reasons

Hi professor 42 I have quite a bit to say in regard to this but I do believe that there is recording limit so I will try to keep it as short as possible. I would probably go with cardio before for a few reasons. For one you are allowing your body to warm up and adjust and prepare for any sort of exercise you may be doing. And two, obviously you're going to get your heart rate up and burn calories

Hi, Alyssa. I go to the gym pretty regularly. I mainly do, like weights, but I do do cardio to warm up. I have a bum leg so I can't run or do, like, high intensity cardio. So I walk on the treadmill on an incline, like a pretty fast walk, like a 15 incline or something like that. And I do that for 25 minutes before I start my weights

But if they're not a non athlete, then yeah, and they want to do a bit of both, I would put the conditioning first. And somebody else mentioned this in the stream of comments that you get a good warm up, your body is nice and warm and ready. It's probably worked up a good sweat, and then you're probably going to not get injured because you are nice and warm and ready to go, depending, though, on how tiring it is for you
