What I will do is if I feel like eating chocolate while I'm watching TV, I'll stop other show, get up, move, do anything or just don't have any chocolate in the house so I can't just reach for it. Interrupt the usual pattern. So if there's usually a jar of chocolate and sweets down where I can see it while I'm watching TV, just move that jar. Get rid of it

I have tried various ways in which to distract myself, including eating other things, which then becomes a problem but cannot not have ice cream at home because I have kids. So it's a problem
