Back pain tips please!

Hi Mark. I would actually love some tips regarding back pain from you. For the past three weeks, I've been in near constant pain, lower back. I think I slipped or kind of misaligned it somehow. I have been seeing chiropractor once a week and that's been really helping. Every time I come back from the chiropractor, I just feel much better, but over time it deteriorates a bit. Overall, it's getting better slowly

So we correct it and then strengthen it and then set a good foundation to then build on that, strengthen the core and get you moving so you don't go backwards. And I've seen it with many clients here. Once we do that, it works and they never have any back pain anymore. If the back pain is not clinical, like something wrong. Apart from that, because you're not here in London. What I would suggest is looking up Stuart McGill

Thanks for the tips. Book link https://s.swell.life/SShy4mAuFYS8e0f

And after that, the first time back really went into this particular pain and that kind of got better after a few weeks. But three weeks ago, I think it elapsed again. So I'll see. I mean, I think it's about working with somebody who can really look into the mechanics of my back and go into that. I think it's probably a good idea. My plan would be to kind of right now get it better through the chiropractor and just rest

It's always good to maybe stand on the bike. Stand up so you're powering through powering up those Hills, especially at the hardest point of the Hill. Anyhow sounds to me like a hip flexor problem. But before you go and stretch the hip flexor, make sure your back is healed and everything first, why not stay seated for too long? Well, especially now when the problem is cleared up

Doing pt at home. https://s.swell.life/SShyAeE4mYGsOeG

My experience with PT has been I go to PT for certain things, physical therapy, and then I don't do it right at home, or I'm afraid of doing it wrong at home. So I don't do it right at home. There's a big gap between my experience with a trainer and a physical therapist and what I do on my own in my house. I think I'd love to hear from you

What if your back is a certain angle? The more questions you ask, the better. If the PT hasn't got the time or the trainer doesn't take the time to explain, you need to ask over and over again until you understand, and then you should be able to go away with it and do it on your own. You know

So whether I'm teaching people to box and I'm showing them something, they need to know everything that I know about why I'm showing them that I don't want to hold anything back for two reasons. One, I want them to learn properly. And Secondly, if they go anywhere and they say that I've taught them that they need to know why I taught them that, and they need to execute it properly because they're taking my name with them

It we say, then rehab it right so that it doesn't go backwards. And then we can then strengthen from the ground up from the core. So we stabilize. And then we get going to proper movement. And that's where the training and the rehab and the training and all that comes in. A lot of times, people can manage their symptoms or don't ever get it anymore

That place, not get rid of it, but get rid of the response that it's having, which is the spasming and then building a body that can help support its healing and sustain a whole system that is not going to go out and blow up like it did so painfully. I'm going to keep you posted on all of this. And I'm also going to check out that book that Arish order. That guy should give you royalties. But also, I know you have incredible resources

@Markrfitness thanks for the tips - yes, walking works wonders

Hi Mark. I just wanted to thank you for your reply above the advice you gave me. I think that was spot on. That's exactly what I have been doing even the first time, and I had this problem that helped basically don't sit either stand straight or just lie flat. And even when I'm lying flat and sleeping, I'm sleeping on a hard surface. Hard bed, not the soft mattress. I think that really the soft mattresses
