And so it's really important to manage your stress levels because the more stressed we are, the more energy it takes. And then that energy is diverted to dealing with that stress. If you're not getting enough sleep, then you're under stress. Your body is under stress. And so again, it's going to take more energy from you

I love the idea that it's important to sleep to manage our stress. Mark, I think it's often something that we forget. And I always think sleep is really important. And I was really pleased to hear your tip about using sleep to manage stress. I think it's a good tip. And I shall get an early night tonight

I'm very safe talking to the phone, but focused. My eyes are on the road. Other do pedestrians. They have the right away. Pedestrians always have the right way to yell that at them. They know that. I just came off with two day fast and I practiced intermittent fasting. And I thought maybe this car would see me

I'm going to go up a Hill, a really steep Hill on the sidewalk, which I'm not supposed to ride on the sidewalk. I know. Okay. I can't take all the judgment. I'm just trying to be safe while I record this because I was also going to say that I normally don't do back to back fast. Mark Fitness

I've never got my heart rate to go 145 minutes. Even if I lie on the floor, I can't do that with breathing or whatever. But with meditation, I brought it right down 20 beats. So it's amazing and sleep. Of course, you can never outdo. If you haven't slept enough, you're done and then people. What we would do is drink coffee. Just boost yourself up. Actually, you're just creating more stress in the body

You're riding safely and speaking at the same time. It's good. It's good that you went on other pavement a little bit. If you felt you should over here in London, we've got way too many cyclists since locked down because of food delivery services have boomed. But they're all mad. I'm not kidding. Riding other wrong way down the road on the wrong plane. And you've really got to look out for them. Even if you're walking a few times

It's just fat saturated, whatever. He loses weight quickly. But every time I see him, he's at least working pounds. We call £14 of stone. So he was like at least two, three stone overweight. So we're talking £30 overweight every time I see him or more, and then he loses it really quickly. But it's not sustainable. So the way I work is I look at people's diets and see what's going on
Brooke C.

I think that they do tricks on the bikes and stuff, but yeah, so I'm not going to say it's a male thing, actually, because I do enjoy biking as well, but no laws vary by country, I guess, and stuff, but they're pretty strict about a bicycle is considered a vehicle, and we follow the same rules of law as the vehicles, which means we have the same rights to I get honked out a lot, but we allowed to turn with the cars and everything like us if we're on a motorcycle, but we're not allowed to ride on the sidewalks, which that's what I do like about bikes is you have a little bit of flexibility in Leeway, where you can use your own judgment, but it should never be where you're making pedestrians feel unsafe

And to me, that's offensive because I'm like it's not about vanity. I'm happy with my body because that's not going to be super healthy. I'm maximizing my health. I tell myself that, of course it's not true. I'm brainwashed as much as anybody. I need to lose weight, even though word on the street is unanimous. There's no problem here, no comment. And then you'll hear if I ride around long enough again

It's okay. My clothes fit me and everything feel fine. But I feel like at my best, I'm about £10 lighter. You would call it your fighting. Yeah, I understand for me I want to lose just a little bit. And coming closer to my goal weight, I will start using the oil, and what that would do is mean I can reduce my carbs, which will help me lose that a little bit more and get a little bit leaner

There's always something to address people. Most people have them. I'm a little bit overweight. They want to do a few pounds. Anyway, the best way to do that is exercise is all about creating body composition, cardiovascular health and also stress bone health and all that training board as well. But really wait to do and how you feel. I mean, everybody knows they can. If you haven't been eating sugar, you go and you drink a big milkshake somewhere

Yeah, I'm doing a coaching course just because it helps me to work with my clients and other I'm doing two courses at the same time, one on Hypnotherapy and one on coaching, and they're talking a lot about use of metaphors. But I'm interested in what you have to say about storytelling, because I tell a lot of stories. And I'd like to know why the secret, which is a completely different subject, this fitness tip. But I'd like to know
Brooke C.
@Brooke415 · 4:27
I've had time to think about that little secret that we have, and it was a wonderful thing for me to learn about, because where I was coming from initially was that it doesn't have to be a male woman thing, but often is like psychologists have studied and sociologists have studied that women use, like, five times more words than men use, like, on average, it just happened that way. Well, it didn't just happen that way
Mark R Fitness
@Markrfitness · 4:56
I really love what I do, but I realized that a lot of it is just a psychological game. You really are coaching people. They open up to you when you're a trainer, and a lot of it is how do you just move this person forward? So I started studying something called Strategic intervention it's a Tony Robbins course. It's quite extensive. And I'm going through that training at the moment. Interesting. Yeah, it's a long story

So when that contract ended again, I had no clients. But I did have all my connections from the gym. And I've also been working in a boxing gym for three of those six years alongside my gym because all of the boxing gyms did martial arts when I was younger, and I got to the point where I was working with some fighters, helping them with their nutrition and stuff. And so when my contract ended, I ended up getting my professional trainer's license, boxing license

They refer me to their mums and then their mums refer me to their friends. And it might be for something that I do other the fitness stuff or the biomechanics. I'm a sports therapist as well. Sports best type of therapist, which goes with the biomechanics and then there's other boxing side. So it's really interesting because I get a lot of referral and it goes lots of different ways. And what was interesting is what I find interesting is that I said this to one of my clients
Mark R Fitness
@Markrfitness · 4:59
You're telling stories about your life and two people, and there's always a story that comes off of something, and I always have a story. But I'm also interested in storytelling through writing or film, of course, or social media. I've been playing around with Spotify's new feature, which is you can kind of create radio shows, and I've done one

And so the way that women develop resources, as we know in traditional or stereotypical gender studies, is that women are more relational, because if you think about it, those ties are survival ties in a way like the more contacts a woman has and networks she has, the more highly likely she has to have access to wider range of emotional and financial and physical and every kind of support through networks, through people. And not that men don't need those networks
Mark R Fitness
@Markrfitness · 5:00
She's one of my clients who runs women's groups, power Women. She runs the Power Women Awards and all this sort of thing and does a lot of networking. So she's always telling me about stuff like that little things about women and why the awards are so important, because women don't shout about what they do. But the award, if they get an award, it means something because they don't reuse

I think things are changing, but in a lot of industries, things are still the same, aren't they? And changes really slow, even though so much has changed. There's still a lot that hasn't changed. It's funny how that I always find how things have changed so much. But so many things haven't. So a lot of these ideas and practices would still be really relevant. And storytelling is everything

Hi, Mark. Five days. Okay. I'm not too super late. I got to stay on top of these, maybe turn on my notification, so I don't miss it because I appreciate your question and your comment, too. I wrote that down the undoing with Nicole Kidman and Hug Grant. I'll look at that. Oh, you're asking about. I call it UX Design. I named it personally. Ux Design

In fact, it's funny because I'm making an effort to get my social media strategy more consistent and be more consistent with it. And one of the things I want to do is on my podcast. I do a different podcast as well, although I haven't done it for a while is to interview people, especially now around this time when people are struggling mentally around mental health. So I was talking to somebody yesterday. I booked him at the time
Brooke C.

You're not familiar with this type or other struggle, but I thought it would be interesting for them to have a female point of view. A female coach dating coach who would help them, who is an introvert and who understands the way they think and who they are but is a female. So I could sneak in like there. Other wouldn't even know I was there. I would just sneak up like a quiet little introvert and then just whisper good advice in their ear style
Mark Francis Rahaman
@MarkR · 3:36
We'll figure it out. What's the other thing I was going to say? Oh, your idea is great. Now listen about talking to men, about giving that type of man some advice. Actually, I like funny women. I don't think funny women. I don't dislike funny women. I've never heard that one before, but I think it's a good idea because I grew up with six aunts. The youngest one is only two years older than me

You can send it to my email at B, as in Brooke, Julia, as in Julia Roberts. Okay, I'm going to stop it's. 33, like Scottypippin at Gmail. Why am I writing down my own email address? Like, I don't know. It because I have a pen in my hand. Okay, so that's B as in Brookjulia, 33 at gmail. And I would love to attend a class, and if I like it, I like it

So now I'm curious. What's the deal with Clubhouse? I just downloaded it so I don't know if I need an invite or something. You can invite me. Maybe I'll see you on there

And because it's four or five, it's not as detailed as when I'm teaching somebody one on one. So we've got to a space where they know how to throw a combination and different combinations. And now it's more about working out. And that's what it's been since it's been over. Zoomed. It's really a workout. And actually there are some personal training clients in there that I write their programs. So I set heart rates for them
