It's called Tom Jones Help Yourself from 1968 and I used to play this album when I was little around this time, early 70s, along with Elvis. That's the way it is and Benny King's greatest hit. And when I was little, I used to say these words. I used to stand on the working top or something and get like a mic, pretend and want to say, I knew these words when I was really small

A special album

Love this!

Mark, you got called out by Mr. Tom Jones. Outstanding. Oh, man, I got to go listen to this album. I got to see if it's on Spotify. Sadly, my parents did not have Tom Jones albums. That means I had a deprived childhood. Even as a young person. I knew that the ingelbert Humperdink album that my mother was playing was second rate crooning, that it was a pale imitation of Mr. Tom Jones, who I'm sure I was familiar with from television

That's the Way It Is, which is a great album as well, by the way. But what got me about these guys, especially around this time, is that they sung these love songs with so much sexual energy, aggression. And only they could do that and get away with it. It was the time, right? Isn't it funny? Very cool. Yeah. And I couldn't believe it, man. It's a treasure tweet

I think they had a fight. Tom Jones. And yes, Tom Jones did have his own. And he did have his own TV special. I'm going to post a great link for you as well in the second half of it

👏👏👏👏

I was listening to the album while I was working on Friday afternoon, so I was kind of distracted, but, yeah, I was getting into it. I really enjoyed it. I'm going to have to listen to it again and do a more thoughtful response. Glad you pointed me to it

They had a lot of talking heads and strange fans, but they remastered it and reedited it. It's pretty cool. But that's the way it is, the album that comes from that film. And in fact, we went to see the 50th anniversary of that film in the cinema. Me and my wife and some friends just last year, like my parents did in 19, 70th. Yeah

Tim, you're gonna enjoy this? There's so many great clips out there, man. And, yeah, those guys are special, man. Those guys are special. We don't have guys like that now, do we? I'm just. Just as I looked at, there was something else I saw that I haven't seen myself him with Wilson Picket. So I need to check that out. How cool is that anyhow? Thanks for your quiet, man
