Hindi Cinema: Bonding Hearts & Humanity

article image placeholderUploaded by @MahaanMusings
And that, I think, is something which is very laudable at a time when many are bent upon driving knives into the art of secularism and malicious attempts to spread hatred in the society through sponsored media and some sponsored films. I think it's very important that we imbibe lessons of humanism that were taught to us by the films of the golden era. If we do, we would be building a very strong society based on love, brotherhood, unity and harmony

Time to reboot Hindi cinema. @MahaanMusings , #indianciema , #bollywood,

Thank you so much for having me on this swell. It's a very interesting conversation and I have a ton of views. I actually did a swell cast a few months back on Indian cinema, introducing Indian cinema to global audiences. My view on indie cinema in particular has, and I think you alluded to it very accurately, is quite different from 1980 on downwards, I think from fifty s to eighty s were perhaps the right time to watch some good content driven nuanced cinema

The cinema that people talk today about may be extraordinary in terms of the technical skills available but does it really have a story? Does it really connect? Does it tell us something about our own selves? Does it make us look into a mirror and reflect upon the vicissitudes of life and see where we stand visa vis the people of our community, our society, our nation? Does it in any way lead to an introspection to be better human beings? Does it tell us anything about relationships? No

@MahaanMusings : jets fired up!

Okay, looks like I've got the jets fired up. Thank you so much for your response and I completely completely resonate with your sentiment. I think we are more or less saying the same thing. One is agreeing to the fact that we had better cinema from fifty s to say up until the then it kind of completely plummeted from 80s right up till 2010

And what is there in a dialogue, what is there in a script? They think it's just something that they can themselves conjure it up. And that is why the coming of the mobile and the recording of the video has made everybody think that they can make a film. But no, film is not made, it is created. And that is where they are all going wrong. The writer has to be the most respected person
