The Bow and the Arrow,…let’s talk!

article image placeholderUploaded by @lwatsonjr
How often do we find ourselves focused on what we exert in terms of energy and focus and work and diligence into the world around us, into the jobs that we have and into them efforts that we apply in relationships and in any task or goals that we have. We're firing away arrows, and then anecdotally we look at the bow, and the bow, in the case of my understanding of this proverb, is everything that is required in order to prepare for these arrows to fly

Which do you focus on more? Do you prioritize them? #balance #goals #selfcare

Okay, well, I listened to everything that you said and and I was I was really, like, intrigued by what you were saying because it's kind of kind of of what I'm going through. I don't know if I'm indecision or what it may be, but as far as the arrow flying and keeping the boat, I like how you said that

Basically a women's Bible study or women and men, however it's going to go. But I just feel like I should be studying this word with people and breaking down this word because that's just the feeling that God has always given me. And I also am self taught on the piano. I'm at a point on this piano where I know if I go a couple of more months I would be basically able to play for church is what I want to do

@Purchasedby1: Just keep BEING (an archer)…

Is that in order to be in this case of illustration and archer, there are two things that you need to have that you need to have a bow, right? You need to have a period of preparation, you need to have an education, whether formal or informal, about the things that you're pursuing. But then, on the flip side of that, you also need to have action. Right? You need to have the will, and you need to have the commitment to taking action

Thanks, Pastor, for your response. And I understand everything that you're saying. And the action part is the part that I need to just don't do too much thinking over preparing, just get over whatever I don't have that I think I need and things like that, and just move and just act. So I plan on this week doing what I feel God wants me to do. And so I just ask that you pray for me and I'll be praying for you

@lwatsonjr "Love & Violence= Balance" 💭🙏🏽❤️

These particular paths lead us down a generally perceived violent route. We're training to be violent, we're preparing to be violent. But it's actually the beauty and grace in not using what you've learned and mastered, so to speak, in a violent way. Like the samurai's first instinct is not to draw its sword. And the archer's first instinct is not to shoot the bow, but maybe ready them bow

@The3rdOWL: archetypes Act I, thank you so much…Asé

It was the first one that came to my mind when I read the proverb was the farmer. The farmer has tools. The farmer also has grounds, right? A place to sow a seed, a place for the action of a farmer to do what a farmer has prepared to do. And then there's also variables like timing and waiting, patience and care that a farmer must persist in. But at the end of the day, a farmer is with two primary variables

It can move from one end to the other but then eventually kind of settles in until the next event happens. But I really enjoyed listening to your cast and this concept of the bow and the arrow and the archer. Thank you

@lwatsonjr I’ve been a lot bow, trying to incorporate more arrow (action). 🎯

Hey Rev. Very, very interesting juxtaposition here. I think I've been told and I realized about myself that I can get really caught up in the preparation of a thing and take too long to just actually start and then also so focused on preparing and for things to be completely right, which there's no such thing as completely perfectly anything maybe completely, but not perfectly. So I'm striving for some sort of perfection
