Composers

It. Composers, compose, commune, consume, repose, compost, disperse, decompose, disappear, apparition. Anywhere there is an ear, I can hear the music. We are back. Resume, compose, commune, consume

I love the way you deliver these pieces. And this was just such a delicate and effortless play on energy, flow. Almost like past lives. You know, people come together and we expire. We somehow come back together, consume each other, create expire. I love the simplicity of this, but in a way, it's everything I've been. I kind of off my game, off kilter for a couple of days. Not really feeling that inspired, but it's nice to be back

Thank you. Yes, it's definitely about death and rebirth on all levels to me, and sort of the big picture of the creative process, whether that's bodies, spirits and souls, or just us as writers, poets, and how it's all so cyclical. And I'm learning to trust that flow and try not to beat myself up if I'm in the repose or the decompose, you know, so give ourselves some grace and we always come back around. Thanks for listening

But I think the message of this one is very important because of our attention seeking economy where people earn a living by producing content more than ever before. And there's this pressure on artists to be evergreen and constantly have new content. And as soon as somebody becomes famous, they're already being replaced before they even have accomplished the first couple of milestones because we're always looking for what's next. And that is such an unfair process that kind of gets put on to creative people

You. Hey, this is Stephen again, and sorry for replying twice. I found a quote from Edgar Allen Poe that I wanted to share about the creative process. I thought it was applicable, and I think you might enjoy it. He said, True invention is elaborate. There is no greater mistake than the supposition that a true originality is a mere matter of impulse or inspiration. To originate is carefully, patiently and understandingly to combine. And that's what your poem reminded me of

And that we are being asked in so many ways, in so many systems to push, to force, to produce, to just continue in this ravenous way of life that is killing our bodies and killing our Earth. And we are just extensions of this beautiful planet and we have forgotten that in so many ways. I mean, all we have to do is look outside and see all the cycles of death and rebirth to be reminded how to embrace that

It's. I just want to thank you, Laura. This was a very beautiful piece. It reminds me of something that I took the time to do last week, which was to take ten minutes of my morning, quiet morning for coffee still in between sleep and dream, to write down the things that came to me, the things that came from within my being. And I wrote, and I wrote, and I wrote, and there was a theme
