Film Thursdays: Everything Everywhere All At Once

Do you want to come? And I was like, oh my God, Yes, I've been wanting to see that so badly. So we all sat down. Two of my friends have seen it before so they knew it was coming. But when it first started I was like okay, this is a little odd. And I started to get a little weirder. But I literally think it was like one of the best movies I've seen in the five years

I wouldn't necessarily say that's maybe a strong word, but I just don't think that they use it to the best effects that they could. And I felt like this movie, it was perfect in that way. So I'm glad your friends went and saw it. I'm sure they probably had similar feelings. Just spread the gospel of this movie. That's an important thing to do so that we can get more films like this in the future

That was one of my favorite parts because it was just such a cool, interesting thing, especially like when they flashed, like, the end on the screen, I thought the movie was over and I was like, okay, for like 40 minutes. Okay, cool. Kind of short. And I realized it was just so cool. It was something that we really don't see a lot of anymore because it's just like it requires a level of deeper analysis

Certain scenes also brought me to tears. And I want to ask you this because you're a different generation than I am for me, because the central character, Evelyn, is a mother in middle age and she's looking back on her life. For me, the concept of the multiverse is about regret and the paths not taken. And have you accomplished anything in your life, which is a really resonant theme for someone my age whose kids are going off to College. So there's that

That's all we really need in the end. So, yeah, let me know if you have any more questions. I think it's so interesting to hear people talk about this film because I think it has so many really cool themes in it that I feel like I still haven't fully comprehended exactly what they're were trying to say. So I love talking about it
