Covid 19 Vaccine: Celebrities, Where Are You?

article image placeholderActor Ryan Reynolds getting the Covid 19 vaccine.
Where are all the celebrities advocating for the COVID vaccine? I ask this because I haven't seen a coordinated effort to appeal to youth to get their shot. At the beginning of the pandemic, there were concerts and virtual campaigns to get people to take 19 seriously. Now it's even more important to appeal to young people. This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated and young people are making up a large portion of that group. Maybe I'm just not in their target audience being in my 40s

Why aren’t there lots of celebrities out there promoting the vaccine to young people? https://link.medium.com/yazict5zAib

And on top of that, the coronavirus vaccine, like there has been coronavirus vaccine research for years, for years. I mean, SARS is not a new thing. It just so happens that they've been working and working and working. And when you have basically every legitimate epidemiologist on the planet trying to come up with a solution, you could do things a bit quicker

Response to @Joylove

Joy, I think your perspective points out exactly why there needs to be a coordinated effort to inform the public about the COVID vaccines. The questions you raise are good ones. It's unfortunate you are not getting the answers you need. It appears, is the information you are getting is not convincing to you or you're not getting the necessary information to trust the vaccines. It could also be the general distrust people have about the government, medicine, or authorities in general

@Taylor

Taylor, you say you don't understand why people aren't trusting doctors who make recommendations based on real research. I'm going to play Devil's advocate and say that there are people who have real and valid reasons to distrust authorities, especially about their or health. For example, women's health is often misunderstood. Treatments can be based on studies on men. Women have been misdiagnosed or worse due to various reasons

And maybe that's kind of what you're talking about with Censoring is that if you go on to certain platforms, you're not going to be able to get the same information than if you get somewhere else. And that's where we have a lot of breakdown of communication. If all of us are getting information from different sources, some more reliable than others, some people are getting their information from Tik Tok or they're getting their information from YouTube

And so because of us being in our kind of bubbles, we're not being able to get common ground with someone else, and we're not able to really be able to communicate with each other in a respectful way, in a way that I think happened in the past. When we all got our information in similar ways, we would all watch the news

Joy, thank you for your heartwarming message. I would love to have more dialogue about this or anything else. Hopefully you listen to other things that I talk about because I don't just talk about COVID and I'll enjoy getting to know you more. Thanks
