Rant: Celebrity Moms Talking About Their Postpartum Bodies.

article image placeholderDoes this inspire you?
Okay, the new type of virtual signaling I'm seeing is calling out snapback culture. That's what actress Tia Maori called showing images of yourself after having a baby where you snap back to how you looked before. It was the fad that celebrity and moms would show proud photos of themselves after giving birth. And then the sooner the better than looking how they did before the type of moms all his other moms love to hate

Don’t tell me about your post-baby belly. #popculture #socialmedia #motherhood #selfesteem

What I find most alarming about this trend is that the focus is more on the physical attributes of the parent who underwent the miraculous procedure to bring a life into the world, how toned and fit the body is versus the raising of the child. I'm kind of wondering, like, okay, it's not over, though. We got to raise the child, right? It's literally a newborn doesn't even know how to crawl or sit up yet

So anyway, you're bringing up a lot of interesting points and a lot of asterisks like you said, and that it's not just this time period has been a factor forever with women giving birth. So anyway, thank you for your response and making me think about this a little bit more deeply
