The idea that he's living with Alzheimer's rather than dying with it is remarkable to me and that he's still able to do things he loves and is navigating the disease fairly well is encouraging. I say this because I saw dementia consume my dad and debilitate him. His quality of life was obliterated by this disease, so I'm glad to see others be able to live with dementia while having some quality of life. I have family who is also struggling with the disease right now
