In States like this, I want pop culture to take me away. I don't want it to entertain me. I don't want it to teach me. I don't want to escape in it. Isn't that what many think of pop culture as an escape? But I found that when real tragedy occurs, pop culture can't do that. It can't help you to escape. Maybe it can distract you. Although I found that when true tragedy happens, it won't distract you
