"The Chair" Reviewed by a Former English Professor

article image placeholderSandra Oh as "The Chair"
The desire to attract semi academic celebrity to teach a class and give an important lecture despite not being qualified to this was actually really funny, but they lost out on reality in the process of striving for that humor. Plus, it was unrealistic that they weren't bending over backwards as a Department to keep the black young female professor. That's particularly unrealistic, because there are so few in academia and colleges feel a lot of pressure to be more diverse

The Netflix series balanced humor and realism. #popculture #tvseries #academia #comedy #netflix

They really did pull out some major themes that are going on right now. I just was delighted, and it's a quick watch, probably a total of, like 3 hours. And I watched it over a couple of three or four days, and I just thought it was a delight. So I'm so happy you put it here

That is definitely true based on my knowledge of being in academia and also people I know who have been in that position, and I love just how humorous but also dark. The show went in some places to the scene at the little girl's birthday with the J. D. Plus character was hilarious. I still have stopped laughing about the scene where he's riding the scooter or something flies over into a Bush. Clearly, you can tell I really enjoyed that
