Impact of Covid on your family relative to previous historic events such as the World Wars

My father left Harvard Law School for instructions of his father to enlist in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. And while he did not travel to Korea or engage in any fighting, it definitely impacted the trajectory of his life. How is COVID causing you or your family to have to dramatically change their plans

External forces vs personal choice

There's probably more stories in my family than I know about. But the the one that stands out is my greatgrandfather Ian Hastings, who was a business owner and doing pretty well at the beginning of World War II, too. He left to go to France to drive an ambulance, volunteered. And I know that when he came back, it was really hard to recover the business and get everything back on track

I stumbled upon this question and something I think all of us have been thinking about is how has COVID impacted my life and the people around us has compared war, World War One and World War II. This is nothing compared to that. I study history to a certain extent, especially World War I've. Actually been to France and Belgium in the Netherlands to visit World War I sites
