Productivity… and Mental Health

article image placeholderUploaded by @celestialperri
I had stopped some of my medicines and was able to start them and get my big farmer brain back and just feel, like, a little bit more balanced. The flip side is, while I didn't have those medicines, I definitely have felt myself going into some of my worst depressive habits where I don't want to work as much or I'm easily distracted and it takes me a while to get going. Luckily, it hasn't affected my life

And now that we're talking about this, I realized that maybe that's the way of my mind, that my mind is trying to take a break, just trying to relax, but not in a very productive way, because social media ends up filling my head with other kinds of stresses and anxieties. So, yeah, maybe it's like an indication to take those breaks throughout the day. It's tough now

Or are these medicines like a life commitment type of deal where if you don't use them, you're going to always go back to feeling depressive and not in the best state? That's my question, because I would assume that we don't want to become rely on certain medications just to have peace within us or have medications to regulate us

But now having found the right combination and seeing what, in my case, a healthy mind is and what it's like to have the full amount of serotonin I'm supposed to have, I don't mind a lifelong commitment because the life I have will be more enjoyable than the life I would have without them. So it's definitely a personal choice, but that's kind of how I see it. And you have to remember that it is an illness, it is a disorder

But I will also say that my life has gotten more stressful than the last time that I didn't have my meds. Luckily, I was only off of them for a couple of weeks, but it did make me realize that I'm dealing with a lot and that it kind of tires me out when I don't have that extra health. Bye
