An ongoing pandemic puzzle

Hey there. So this is a thread that I hope we can talk about and discuss. I really am trying to seek to understand the situation. We have a couple of some friends of ours in real life that have been anti mask and anti vaccine. Okay, that's well good. That's their choice. But here's the interesting thing

And I don't know their situation exactly, except I do know a few parallels here. And the stance, the anti vax stance is based on a strong family resistance to any kind of vaccinations. So they just feel healthy or have been served by their own self education not to get any kind of immunizations. And you don't think it's possible to enter a primary school without a battery of immunizations

You're. Hey Bernie, thanks for weighing in. It's a real puzzle. Yesterday was challenging day because they actually have to move out by the 30th. They got evicted. They got evicted and Amethyst business has been attempting to try to help them, guide them and give them ideas about where to find work and how to find work. And they've been offered jobs and they turn them down because it's beneath them. It's just so strange

It sounds like you're absorbing the poor judgment calls of others. Photo: Leuchtturm 1917 and Coffee 2022.

You know, Greg, it sounds like you're taking on board some of their stress, tension, and frustration, which is admirable. But my gosh, I in the 90s, early 90. These I had an exceptionally dark spot in my life. I mean, what I had to maneuver and navigate, it should have set me up for some form of PDF, but, like, it didn't. And it was tough, though

@LifeOrigami: A religious exemption request…

And I had to direct her attention to a part of the form which said that there had to be explicitly doctrine from your religious organization that supported the prohibition of vaccines. And upon explaining that to her, she sort of sobbed for a few minutes and then told me that she was going to rescind her membership to the church as a result of this, which I could completely understand, right

Spotting masks in open breezy spaces because

Hey, Greg. Just a quick hit here from Ireland. I attended a daylong event called the Clunmel Show. It's an agricultural show held outdoors. And of course, it would appeal to people who have farms, work outdoors, sell or buy supplies. What surprised me is probably every three or four minutes spotting somebody outdoors with a fresh breeze blowing, fully masked

I listen to your story with interest. Very similar. But, you know, the thing that struck me after I listened to you is that these people are taking a principled stand. And you took a principled stat by saying you couldn't provide the exemption because there's no statute in your organization that requires that level of compliance around Vaccination. So it's a matter of fact principled stand, and she was offended by your principal staff. I find that really curious and really interesting and puzzling

Because as the point that you made, you can't tell someone's how sick or how well somebody is by looking at them. In Japan, I understand massquiring is still all the rage, and they do it everywhere. So it's very interesting to me. I was reading this morning, too, in Canada, we've got an outbreak of hand, foot, and mouth disease that they're seeing in children and then children passing it on to their parents
