Who are the people in your neighborhood?

When s the last time you actually spoke to a neighborhood in your neighborhood, what did you talk about

Hatch peppers!

So that was a great conversation. Now I have to mention I was in Minnesota, and I have to mention how rare that is, because Minnesota, I'm not a native Minnesota. But in Minnesota, I think people are so used to from November to April, parking other car in the garage, you see the garage door go up, you see it go down, and then you never see them. And that kind of spills over in summer

The last time I spoke to my neighbor was yesterday. I pulled into the driveway, got out of my car. She was sitting on her front porch. She yelled over, A******, and and I responded slag. And then I went inside. And as horrible as that may sound, we strangely have known each other since high school. So this is just the nature of our interaction. There's actually no animosity there or anything, but that was our last conversation

I am not a good neighbor. I speak to myself. We move around a lot, and I always tell my husband that if a neighborhood says Hi, then we have to move

We knew the families and their kids and we knew we could run over and talk to anybody. We needed to. If something's going on, they might come over and drop off some cookies or something, some little Christmas cards and stuff. I loved that. How can you beat that? As I got older, I lived with my mom after my parents sort of split up and we bounced around apartments and rental properties and stuff. And you're closer. But you're too close

So I'm not sure if it's because I live in a large Metropolitan city, but I don't really have a relationship with any of my neighborhood except for one. And that relationship is purely high by if someone's breaking into your house, can you let me know that's the extent of our relationship and everybody else on the street basically haven't spoken to my entire time on the street, which has been basically 30 years. I don't know if it's the culture here in big cities

I have a bit of a funny story that goes along with neighborhood. We moved here in January of last year of 2019, and it was a five hour move from where we grew up. We've always lived in the town that we grew up or just outside of it an hour. But we took the big leap to move 5 hours here because my husband's work is only 40 minutes away

I totally love this question because my wife and I moved into a new neighborhood. Well, our family moved into a new neighborhood about a year ago, and we decided that we were going to be intentional of just getting to know people in the neighborhood because we rarely saw anybody out. And so we decided to pull our ad around chairs out into the front yard instead of the back and sit out there
