What I Learned From Speaking at a HS Yesterday

article image placeholderUploaded by @LegacyComix
I take out the comic books and stuff, and they're like, oh, what's this? We had a great time. The youngest ones were probably they weren't the coolest, but they were there. They were in the game. They got it, had a good conversation, but they cast typed me. I was a wrestler. Then the next class I go into, I am a cop. I'm a police officer. I'm like, okay

It was like they were quiet, but there was a lot of them that were not. And it was great. It was just great being that inspiration for those kids. And it's great that you went to a high school in touch and noticed this. And yeah, the focus is in the wrong place, I believe. And they do want something for nothing. They don't want to have to work for it. I've raised two teenagers

This is instructive enough for me that I might actually play this clip for my class. I look for stuff on, like, we have media in the mornings, like morning announcements. They do their own videos that we play on YouTube or really like a media player. And sometimes we have extra time them. And I like to try to find things that are instructive for students to share with them. I think this is awesome. Thank you
