"5 Leadership Lessons from the Chilean Miner Rescue in 2010" by Victor Prince

article image placeholder5 Leadership Lessons from the Chilean Miner Rescue in 2010
And so I think this is such an amazing article that summarizes not only what the Chilean mine crash was, but also how the crisis leadership by Rosuwa and by the team on ground led to a successful outcome where everyone was able to survive. And I just wanted to share it as well. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you. Bye

Amazing! 🌱🌱🙌

And I'm wondering if there's a follow up of their careers 20 years later or ten years later. Right. I forget the time now. But anyway, what happened to them in Phil in ensuing years and how it impacted them as leaders and his followers and his husbands and sons. It's amazing, really provocative stuff. Thank you so much for sharing

Keeping 33 people aligned in that situation is great leadership

There was some leadership in just getting those people cohesive. And it mentioned one man, one vote, and I'm sure they had things that they had to vote on. And I'm sure people had different opinions on what it is that they should do. And when people disagree, sometimes that festers into factions or riffs within an organization, and that's when you really have issues and those can go south pretty fast

Yeah. Thank you for your question. I actually did search up and there's an article by CNN on where the 33 Chilean miners are right now. It's kind of sad, honestly, because you would think that they would be able to able to make a movie or able to share their stories. But apparently a lot of the miners are having trouble making ends meet. And according to CNN, they are living off government pension and only getting about $500 a month

Hey, Swallow. So for those of you who've been following along, I just wanted to let you know that I actually did get an interview date and time set up with the author of this article. And I'm so excited his name is Victor Prince. He's an author, Keith Note, speaker and just expert in leadership crisis, leadership and so many things. And so I'm really excited to get to talk to him

Talked with Author Victor Prince and here’s what happened!

While you recognize everyone's accomplishments, you always give continuous feedback. And if you are in a place where your manager or leader of the company is not giving you feedback, then maybe it's your turn to give them feedback. So it's this kind of two way. Street of feedback and open communication. Mutual trust, mutual respect and all this openness is what really gives. I guess the value to leadership
