Talking with comedian Lauren LoGiudice

So you've been working on a lot of different projects, and they all sound really exciting. Can you tell us about some of what you've been working on recently?

And then in the Gapiche Comedy Club down in Little Italy, in Lunella Restaurant, we're creating a really great community space with regular smaller shows where we bring together really good comedians, good Italian food and positive vibes and community. So that's how I kind of think about what I'm doing now and what I'm moving towards. And what I've is basically sharpening the focus on what I've always been pointing towards

Wow. It's really exciting to hear all about your projects and your work and how you think about it. And there's a lot that I want to ask you about, but how about we start with your book Inside Melania, what I learned about Melania Trump by impersonating her. So you've talked a little bit about this and the impersonations, and so I'm curious, how did this project start? And once you got going, how do you continue to do the research into her character?

I knew the time was I got to go. And also part of writing a book, I found out is sitting your a** down and writing the book and it's going to take so much longer than you think it's going to take. And honestly, I probably would have written half the pages of the book because you also realize that no one reads

Hello, Leilan. This is Melania here. I hear she wants to talk to me. Well, I'm all about that. Dirty Lauren. She does all sorts of things. She gets into my p****** and then write it all over the internet. I don't like her very much. Although one time, the White House I have these unpaid interns. You have no idea. They don't do anything right

So there's so many things that I can ask you about the book, but I also really want to make sure to ask you about your show Ancestry Dot comedy, which I've actually gotten to see in New York. So you've been performing the show across the country and well, one of the things that I really love about it is the way that you weave in so many different stories and so many different people into it

We're going to take what we learned there and we're going to bring it to the next one. And each time refine and hone it, and each time it's in a different place, which means I have different guests. So there are slots for different types of comedy and different types of storytelling. And we integrate that into each show. And because I'm bringing it to different locations each time, it's going to be a whole different set of people

Thanks. That's really cool. Thanks for sharing more about ancestry comedy, and I'm really excited about April 1. So I just have one more question for you. We've talked about a lot of different projects from your book to your show. And so what advice do you have for people who do want to be more creative or who are looking to create a project or start something new? Really excited to hear your thoughts

And when you're there, you'll think maybe it ends up being you want to make a meme or you want to make a fan fiction or whatever it is, and you're going to sit down and you're going to do it. And eventually all of those hours will add up, and you'll have your final product. And I think it's important to just not worry about the outcome so much
