Share your college major/minor!

article image placeholderUploaded by @kenzie
Because I'm trying to get a general idea of the people on this app, like what type of major you are or what you did major in College. And then yeah. And so Additionally, I'm curious as to how you guys have managed, like, summer classes and things like that. And it can be College specific, but it doesn't have to be because I will be working full time this summer and I'm going to be taking summer classes

I need some advice on a film minor because I’m interested in CGI! Also feel free to share how you get through summer classes and fun courses!

Hey, Kenzie, that sounds like a really dope minor. And also Congrats on having a summer job. I hope it all goes out well. So currently I'm majoring in journalism and public relations with an option in public relations, and I'm doing a double minor in creative writing and broadcasting. So I kind of understand a little bit of film, a bit

Animation and 3D modeling!

And so he was talking about how 3D modeling and animation classes are really valuable to people who want to do CGI because you have to get a sense of A, how to build whatever you want to Animate, or move around, and B, you have to be able to actually move it around and animate it. So that's a big part of CGI

Your minor sounds really interesting. So that'll be really cool. But same with your major, too. Like, that is awesome, too. And Congratulations on your summer job. That is super exciting, too. And I hope you figure out a really good, good way that works for you to balance your classes along with that. But my major is public relations, and I am minoring in Spanish

Hello Sam here. My major is technology and I concentrate my studies in gender and social stratification and ecological restoration as well. And I have a minor in archaeology anthropology. I know that sounds weird but currently I am employed. It's an entry job in domestic violence here at Humboldt County and Yeah

So it'll be like Monday to Wednesday Thursday from just like nine to ten versus just like a Tuesday Thursday from twelve to two, you know what I mean? So I would definitely say try and either do your thing or your work all in the afternoon, in school, all in the morning unless you can do like designated days and that will obviously be way better

I have to say that's a really cool minor that you have, and I think that will definitely help you in your career. I am actually a journalism major with minors in English and Spanish, and I decided to choose those minors because English, I think, will help me with my writing as a Journal journalist, and Spanish helps me grow my Spanish speaking skills and writing skills. And I think that's really important and I don't really know much about film

Hi, Kenzie. I think that sounds like such a great idea for a minor. I'm not currently a filmmaker, but I'm a global studies major, and I'm probably going to add on an acting, like double major in acting or double major in film and media studies at UCSD, especially for a minor. I feel like that's such an interesting minor, especially if it's more geared towards media in general because there's so much you can use it for

I feel like in terms of making sure that you have a nice balance between work and school is like making sure you have time for yourself because honestly, you're going to have school or you're going to have work for the rest of your life. But I don't think you're not a fortune statement, but I think it's a generalization. But you won't have like the next four years to yourself or like, you'll never be able to relive these four years

Well, currently, I will be majoring in international business management. Now, there's a lot because the first two years is going to be all of it, and then you specialize in the third and the fourth year. So since I'm very new to the business field, I was assigned student before. There's a lot that I need to do to get through what I really want to do. Minors are such an interesting thing, the fact that you can choose minors

Exciting stuff, Kenzie!

I usually only take a class during the summer, but I feel like if you don't give yourself the time to breathe and enjoy the break, you are more prone to burn out. And I feel like especially during the summertime when the sun is out, getting like that, vitamin D, you're hanging out with friends or family, etc. I feel like it's just nice to enjoy your time off

Hello. I'm doing a triple major course in English journalism and psychology. And to be honest, it's a pretty interesting, you know, mixture of different subjects. But it can be very hectic sometimes. But I'm very keen to understand and know more about psychology. So I think I suggest you psychology, if you're interested in knowing about different subjects. Psychology is a very good subject
