Relationships in College pt. 4: Abortion Rights

article image placeholderUploaded by @katiecal
A lot of people have different issues surrounding whether or not abortion is okay. But I just hope that people look at it in the way that abortions are going to happen, regardless of whether or not they are legal. If they are legal, they will happen in a healthy, safe environment where women can be taken care of and be safe, versus an unhealthy environment where women may go to people who aren't even licensed doctors to get abortions, where their lives could be put in danger

But I just can't imagine I just can't imagine being a woman right now or anyone with uterus, especially, like, say it's like Texas, where with the bill, which I know you talked about a little bit, but the fact that correct me if I'm wrong, but the rapists get less of a sentencing than a woman who would have performed an abortion or the doctor

Hey, Katie, I couldn't agree with you more about, you know, reproductive rights and how important they are to talk about in College specifically. Because like you said, I know many, many people who have gone to Planned Parenthood and I've always also heard of some people who have gotten an abortion. And just I'm generally sensitive to the subject. It's not far out of my reality at all
