Elon Musk becomes the richest person in the world. Should we care?

article image placeholderElon Musk leaves behind Amazon's Bezos to become world's richest person - Bloomberg News
He seems invincible for the longest time and we don't really know where he is at the moment. So I might be entirely wrong. And these numbers could be very useful. But I want to throw the question out there. Does it really matter who the richest person in the world is? Should we care as a community

Karana, I was actually recording a swell about this. And then I saw that you had posted, and I was like, you know what? I might as well come over here and respond. I was just reading the news about this, and, you know, it's pretty striking when you see how how much wealth Elon Musk has amassed this past year, his shares shot up 743% during the course of the year. And he started the year off with something like $27 billion

🤔

But if you look at it in terms of the global issues that concern us about the inequities of who has money and who doesn't. I love hearing stories where people are giving away their wealth with very measured, strategic means. I do think about the foundation that Bill Gates opened up and the research he does and the impact he makes on the world

Let's wait and see as he isn't done yet

Well, we know a lot of people who grown to the heights and fallen down. So Elon Musk might be one among them who have become rich today in probably might fall tomorrow, or someone could take his position ASA. Well, switchesman. But the take here is the journey that he has gone through while becoming the world's richest person. In few interviews, he had told that his brain and his heart hurts while he had done the very long hours of work

Do I care? No. Should I care? Well, probably especially considering he thinks that doing bill keeping governments and doing consent instant pump and dump on crypto is a legitimate way of creating value. It's

We should be interested in that because money means power. And if a guy like this is that rich should worry us mentally. He seems to have remained a child. And so much power in the hands of a child should worry us. US

It's a bit of false reporting, actually, because he hasn't received the cash because he hasn't sold the shares to actually be the wealthiest person. And the company has never turned a profit selling cars. It is only made money selling regulatory credits. So there's a risk. And unless he actually can make the company profitable or exit the shares while they're actually worth something, it's a misrepresentation to say that he has the money because he doesn't right now

Well, I think it's up to you why we are here asking ourselves, should we care about him? He's out there working so hard, change the world. And it doesn't matter if we care or not. He and his company still had an impact our lives. We're going to use one of his products in the future, sooner or later
