But yeah, it's so important to validate your emotions and to cry like it is a release. It is so needed in your body. And it wasn't probably about how long maybe I would say maybe like six years ago, I started doing embodiment work and working with a practitioner who trained in breath technique and movement. And it wasn't until I started doing work with her that I really started to release and learn how to cry again because I had to learn how to do it

And then when it was me, it was like, that was my husband and it was just your father. As if that wasn't a significant relationship between he and I that I do need to cry. So for about a good year and a half, I honestly boxed in my grief for my father and just made the focus about her

Thank you for letting me know that was never my intention, but now that I know how you felt about it but it's going to take a while for us to be there wholly as a culture, because there's going to be a lot of us who still feel that way. You're not supposed to cry, which I was crying for. It's going to take a while, but as long as we keep talking about it, then I think we will get somewhere
