Dealing with the winter blues?

article image placeholderUploaded by @jsmwang
I become a lot more introspective and dwell in solitude more than usual, which is a lot usually. So yeah, I'm curious to hear about what shifts inside of you, if you notice any patterns over the years, what changes for you if you do, how you look at the world differently, I guess, and how you respond to it as well. So I definitely exercise less

It used to be that I felt alone and I felt depressed of spending the holidays alone. And now I don't see it that way at all. Now there's a celebration of it seems weird. It's just, in some ways, another day. And this is where I think it bleeds back and forth between being present in this warm, cozy state of being with self

@SeekingPlumb @jsmwang hygge!

I think it affects us more than we're aware, but 100%, of course, you know what you're saying of creating, making it a bit special or just going a step further to get cozy into. I am also one to spend a lot of time by myself, and it is different to do it casually than to do it with intention, as if I was my own friends that I'm inviting into my space

I'm afraid that as I get older in age, I put on weight in the wintertime, kind of like mama bears wren. They go to hibernate, and I'm finding it harder and harder to shed the pounds when it starts to warm up. But I suspect when I say it in the Thames drop, it's much different than from what you're used to

So all of that used to be big. But yeah, the only thing I say is I focus on the now and the fact that it can change in the future. And I try to watch positive Christmas movies like that. It's so many love Christmas movies like that where they find someone around on a holiday and things like that. So I like to watch more positive versus anything else, like any other type of movies that we have around that time. But absolutely love topic

A winter night in London

But what happens to me is I do get for the first couple of months and then the beginning of January is okay. And then as we go into February and March, it's just too long. And then by April it's still kind of chilly. I'm over it. By February, I'm over it. All these things. Like I said, if I could live in a hot I always wondered what it would be like to really live in a place by the beach

Hey, thank you for this. Well, great questions. I definitely think that I relate to what you said about like, being more introspective and whatnot and, you know, kind of being even more in solitude than you typically would be. I think I reflect on last year and I know that it was really just like a period of isolation for me. So, like, the holiday season was definitely interesting

Hey, I just wanted to reply. This is a really good question because I, like many people, deal with winter blues and every year I'm trying to find a way to cope with the winter blues and also have a hard time sometimes keeping up with exercise routines during this time of year
