What kind of bagel do you like and what are your toppings?
Do you like savory bagels? Like everything or onion? Do you like salt bagels? I don't like salt bagels. My perfect bagel and toppings, I believe my perfect bagel is going to be a pumpernickle bagel. Now, friends don't let friends toast fresh bagels. So it's going to be a fresh bagel, not toasted. And I'm going to use olive cream cheese. So I like a savory cream cheese. And now my topping, I'm either going to use locks or Nova

Hi, Jordan. This is a great question. I live in Queens, New York, but I'm originally from California, and so I was never a big bagel person when I was young. I probably had, like, the cinnamon raisin and all the sweet bagels, and I always toasted it when I was young. But now, living in New York, I think it's the best bagels you can get and anywhere. And I don't toast my bagel

I swear, it tastes like all of the different flavors I ever had in my entire life all on that doll on bagel. And I was just in bagel heaven. And so since then and that was literally, literally I'm not making this up. That was literally about seven months ago. Seven months ago that I just discovered the wonderfulness of the Everything bagel. And so now that's my thing. If and when

But yeah, I'm not into anything sweet with the bagels. Definitely savory egg bagels are my number one sun dried tomato cream cheese, followed by cream cheese, olive cream, chelsea plain cream cheese with locks and vegetable. Cream cheese is also right up there, too. I have to have a variety, but in general, those are my favorites. Nothing of the sweet nature. I will say that. I've seen some Cinnamon Toast Crunch bagels where they have, like, crumbly stuff on top

If you like rye bread, you're going to like a pumpernickle bagel. It's a little bit more savory. But if you haven't had an onion bagel because you like that everything seasoning, but you don't really like the seeds, try just an onion bagel, and it's pretty amazing. Eat it with the locks, cream cheese and locks. Put some capers on it to add a little bit of saltiness, a little, and I think you're going to really enjoy it

It's. Oh, my gosh. Your story is amazing. I think it's great. I don't really like everything bagels in per se, but I do like everything seasoning, and I don't really like it because of it gets everywhere. So what I do is I take the everything seasoning and I put it in the cream cheese, and I eat it that way so it's not getting everywhere

So hey, Adam, thank you so much for the response. So much to unpack there, man. You put a lot in a lot of great ideas. And yes, New York bagels, I think it's the water. It's got to be like the dirty water. I don't know, but definitely it's hard to find now. I was just talking, made a gave a response to somebody else from from New York, from Queens

One of my friends from Poland showed me what he does with that, and it's a really nice it's really good. Now, egg bagels, you really got my attention there because I would like egg bagels. It's like eating hala. It's a little sweet. It's a little it's good. So I do like egg bagels, too, along with the pumper nickel. Oh, gosh. Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it

It's. Mark that sounds great. I like your taste. A locks box. I'm going to have to look into that. Maybe I can bring it back. Bringing back the locks locks box delivery service, I think that would be very popular. There's a lot. I'm actually friends with two guys here that each own their own bagel company. One does more of, like, a New York style bagel

Thank you, Mark. Thank you for sharing the locksbox story. And that bagel, man, that is massive. That's what she said. And yeah, I'll have to take a look for it. I've never seen anything like that before. I hope I run into it at some point. I appreciate it. Did you catch my other discussion of whether you would consider cereal with milk soup? Check that one out
You? Well, it sounds like you are by life, by culture, by heritage, a bagel sexiano. But to answer your question, I like the Everything bagel, like plain bagel and I like the onion bagel depending on what I eat it with. I like a bagel with cream cheese, definitely the cream cheese. And I like butter. There's butter on a plain bagel and cream chelsea on a plain bagel. Everything bagel, onion bagel. I used to actually work in my younger days

You. Thank you so much for your response. A bagel is not defined and how good it is by its toppings, but just how it tastes by itself. And by eating a bagel with just butter, I mean, it has to be a really good bagel, right? Because you're eating, there's not much to cover up. And putting a really good butter on the toasted bagel second day that it's been out, it's not fresh, but it tastes really good toasted

Then I just get a plain cream Chelsea with no flavor. But I'm pretty basic, I would think, when it comes to bagels, as long as they not toast, it too hard, we good

Bye. Hey, thanks for letting me know. You do you whatever tastes good for you. Just because you have plain cream cheese doesn't mean that doesn't have to have any flavor. Try putting some, like, black pepper on it. If you like the taste of black pepper. I do. That sometimes. Adds a little bit of depth to that, but yeah. Thank you so much, and I keep up the conversation. All right, bye

I started eating that combination when I was macrobiotic, like, 30 years ago. And then I toast it. I'm sorry, I don't toast it. No, that's done. That's how I do it. So the cucumbers on top, which gives it the juicy, freshness, connected to the umami anyway, I bet no one does this but me, but I love it. So when I do have baked that's right, too
Jordan Tepper
@JordanTepper · 1:21
Yeah. Hey, Deborah, thank you so much for your reply. Yeah, I don't know of anyone else that puts tahini on there, but it sounds really good because I don't think I would use tahini, but I would use hummus, some olive oil, some cucumber, some salt, tepper, and maybe some dill. Put it on there. As for scooping it all out, my dad does that because he doesn't want as many carbs

Hey, Jordan, here's that cling to that conversation, by the way, about the empty bowl
