Will Smith banned from the Oscars show for 10 years: Is this actually a punishment?
And the only thing that he has been punished with is not being able to come back to the show itself in the next ten years. This is important. He can still get nominated and still win, but he cannot attend the shows in person or virtually, but he can still receive the awards. And Chris Rock has not filed any assault charges towards him and otherwise the Academy has not done anything. So do you think that this is a path for Will Smith?

I personally think that this punishment is ridiculous. I feel that a slap as a slap. Not that I'm advocating for violence, but for but my personal belief is that Chris was making sighting words and Will just responded as a way to defend his wife
