It’s okay to not be okay

article image placeholderUploaded by @JonathanGossett
Hello everyone. I am back home. I am not on campus tonight as I decided to drive home for the sake of my mental health. I have been really struggling recently and I don't say that lightly. Yeah, I'm I've been still working with my new medication, I've been taking. I have been struggling with my friends. I have been struggling with different aspects, other aspects of my life. Luckily there are still some good things that are upholding me right now

No, you're right. It's okay not to be okay. I mean, people just need to give people a break, you know, or not perfect. And everybody's got some kind of stuff going on with them. And if you don't have something going on with you, then you're not normal. Because I don't know anybody that I know who didn't grow up with having some kind of issue

Hey Jonathan, thank you so much for sharing your thought. So I want to say that it is really, really important and very, very important to give yourself time to reflect on whatever you're going through and understand and acknowledge it. And it is very important to take care of yourself because we all are going through pandemics

Oh, I love this. I love this for you. Congratulations. It takes so much courage and strength to actually stop and say, like, I need to take care of myself and my mental health. And I actually think that it's more brave to stop and set things aside so that you can focus on yourself and your mental health, especially when you're struggling. And I actually think that is really admirable and it's really strong and it takes a lot of courage to do
