Hi, Joe. It's so awesome to hear about your work and everything that you do and, like, the communities that you're a part of as well. I'm so curious. What is recreational therapy and yeah, how how does that look like? What does that look like? And what do you see, like, the impact of it not knowing anything about it? I just love the way it sounds. Yeah

@jsmwang

There is a goal of an outcome, a certain outcome when we do these programs, at the same time we are utilizing the individual or group's own recreation interests or leisure opportunities and resources that they have available to them for them to reach their goals and help them with yeah, whatever needs they have

As a rack therapist. If you're working with individuals or a group on social skills, you may decide to play a game of Go Fish. It will help your clients talk to others. Be comfortable talking to others and develop the skills of asking questions

#beanbagtwister #irecthat Modification to a #game

So with the modification working with residents who may be in wheelchairs or anybody who may be working with a certain group of people who just can't get down on the ground and play the normal game of Twister. So we play Bingbag Twister where we still spin the arrow and whatever color comes up, you have to take a beanbag and try to throw it and hit that color. You could do different modifications within that game. You could just have them use their dominant hand to throw it
