Happy Halloween. It is just Kelly McMillan and that's just the beginning of Janet by the Matters Bills. This is a collection of Rocky Horror Punk Rock show selection on Spotify. I couldn't find the original, but there was a 1999 compilation called The Rocky Horror Punk Rock Show that includes all kinds of punk bands getting together and doing fantastic covers of all the tunes You've Come to Love by The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Right now is me first in the Gimme Gimme Science Fiction double feature

Just a quick correction. The Rocky Horror Punk Show was released in 2003, and the playlist that includes Joan Chat and a few other selections weren't originally on it, but it's a really good playlist, and I hope you enjoy. Thanks

Hey, Jessica, happy Halloween. I love Halloween. And I love Halloween music. And I have a few songs that I want to share here. I think that any Tim I talk about Halloween music. There are two bands for me that are must include on that list. The first one is The Misfits, but particularly Misfits, with Michael Graves singing lead vocals. The album Famous Monsters, one of my favorite albums ever. Probably just. I think it's a ton of fun

Plus…look at this guys standup bass! https://youtu.be/vjOiFwfB1X8

And then another band that I would include in my Halloween playlist would have to be the psychobilly or horror punk band Necromantics. I think depending on who you talk about, they're going to have a different description of what they sound like. I love the horror themes. I love the mixture of camp, but also sort of like a self seriousness. So I'm sharing the song, Life Is a Grave, and I dig it, and I hope you dig it, too

Hey, Taylor, thank you for these solid recommends. I really like Psychobilly. I like Horpong. I've been getting into it more lately. There's a lot of action going on in intermediate tingling with those genres, and I've heard Necromantics in passing, but I've never checked out their tune, so thank you. I've already listened to it, and I'm moving on to Trick or Treat next. So sweet. Yeah. And then the misfits. Of course

Two song suggestions

The other song I'm going to recommend is Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. And again, it's not a Halloween song, but I enjoy listening to it this time of year because it reminds me of The Frighteners, the Peter Jackson movie from 1996 that starred Michael J. Fox as a Detective working with ghosts. And it was part of that soundtrack. Also, I think it's appropriate for All Souls All Saints Day talking about death, if not necessarily about being scared

Zombie Jamboree! https://s.swell.life/SSnThkLqYRGsgOo

Oh, wait a minute. How can I forget Zombie Jamboree? Oh, my gosh, I love that song for years. Yes, that is the perfect Halloween song. I'll put a link here to a version by Duke, Arrow and the Lords. It's a Calypso tune from the 1940s. There's a lot of Acapella covers of it, which it's a great song. It's a little weird to have white kids doing a Caribbean petroir. So, yeah, I'm going back

And I grew up watching the show, and I loved especially the movie Monster Go Home. So I'm playing those straight jackets because I was delving into the fun sort of intermingling of surf with TV theme songs. And I'll attach the article that I wrote on that in my month long journey on Surf Rocks this summer. And then yes, the Blue Oyster Cult. Absolutely. I have it on one of my Halloween playlists
