Go Ask Alice: The Matrix trailer and a background on "White Rabbit"
I also read the book Go Ask Alice, which at the time had the author is anonymous, and now they've determined that it's likely Beatrice Sparks, who's written similar narratives, posed as a real diary. And it is a story of teen addiction and self destructive escapism, very much like the drug scene in the 60s, very much like The Matrix in The Matrix

And if you look at all the iconic scenes from the first, particularly two movies, they are recreating them with new characters in that trailer. Now, maybe they'll get that out of the way in the first ten minutes. Who knows? That being said, I thought the use of White Rabbit was phenomenal, although I do think it works

But there's the type A and me who sees Trinity and Neo having forgotten who they are. And I want to tie up that loose end. I have to see them make the realization and maybe even fall in love all over again. It just plays on the emotions quite well, but hopefully let us be optimistic and hope that especially the Red Pill, Blue Pill, and all those tropes from the first trilogy are dealt with quickly. And there's something new and fresh they can bring
