Great Mass of Color: Week in review

article image placeholderGreat Mass of Color: Week in review
I was really impressed this week with Angel Olson's incredible covers of 80s classics and especially the really dreamy Eyes Without a Face. So that is on the list. I'd really love to hear what's on high rotation for you this week. Let me know, have a look at the previous post and have a lovely and safe weekend, everyone

Honestly, I felt like the first month of University again, like meeting all these people from different parts of the country, and they all have different musical tastes. I had showed up with my 24 cassettes. Yes, that's how old I am. And I remember one guy on the second floor. My dorm showed up with 400 cassettes packed into three milk crates. And now his musical tastes were pretty mainstream. He wanted to share how he had every Bruce Springsteen and several bootlegs

Thanks for your weekly round up!

And you have a really great range, which is fantastic, but yeah, I had a lot of cassettes back in the day. I moved to CDs pretty quickly, but yeah, I remember that. And Doc Martin is probably a little bit younger, but those things, I still have a pair of Doc Martins. They're vegan. However, things are different, but yeah. Anyway, thanks so much for your reply. I love that you're telling me what you're listening to as well

Hey, Jessica, thank you for sharing your Spotify playlist once again. I always enjoy it. And I think I missed this one. So thanks to Tim for bumping it back up in my feed. Now it caught my eye. And I thought to myself, I must have missed this because I saw that, like, Clockwork album cover there. And Queens of the Stone Age has for a long time been one of my favorite bands that I wouldn't consider metal

And I really appreciate that about bands, especially when it's a band with not that many members, and they're just sort able to create this wall of sound. And I think that that's a good way to describe sort of the Sonic experience with Death, heaven

Bring the noise!

I think I already mentioned them once, and as a teenager, I used to fall asleep to Psalm 69 by Ministry. They were my lullabies, so partners in loud sound. But thanks so much for your share. I'll keep listening to this. It definitely needs, like, a good headphone listening. It's a nice long track, and I'm getting my weekend here, so it's first up on queue for, you know, good headphones listen. Thanks so much
