Song of the Day: Kurtis Blow’s "The Breaks"

article image placeholderThe Breaks
Go and Curtis Blow's Face met my eyes and I was immediately taken back to that baseline 80 that Baseline was playing in every club, especially in New York 41 years ago. A 21 year old from Harlem became the first commercially successful rapper with a certified gold song and an album released on a major label, Mercury

Quick correction. It wasn't under pressure. I had meant to say another one Bites the Dust by Queen

It bears worth repeating that you use this baseline for CPR training. I think that's what you said was it this baseline or another baseline. But the coolest thing is that you are so in tune, tune with how you can integrate this incredible music into all facets of life. It's just awesome. It made me smile so big. So thank you for that. And I don't know, Curtis Blow, what's my problem? I am going to just get my Ducks and orders here

@DBPardes Thank you💚

Curtis Blows debut album. And really, all the bass lines are the same. So ultimately, all of those songs could be the baseline to CPR. But I would think that Curtis Blows the breaks would be the most appropriate, considering you tend to break the sternum when you perform CPR. I have a grim sense of humor. But anyway, thank you very much for your wonderfully kind comments and have a wonderful long weekend. Bye
