This album was a big separator for Radiohead fans. They weren't using the traditional guitar sounds of the Bends, for example, and that electronic manipulation that York underwent in a house in isolation for six months, completely reinvented their sound in a way that really challenged the listener. For me, it completely opened up my mind, and I embraced the fact that it was not so customer friendly to me. That was a sign of real integrity of the band
