Welcome. It's Jessicalemic millenn with Millie Smalls, My Boy Lollipop, one of the top selling Scott songs of all time, but probably has gone under many people's radar as SCA song. It's a perfect encapsulation of the commercial success of the first wave of SCA out of Jamaica. I'm going to do a two part on this one, just talking about the history of Skaw music for beginners as well as getting into some of the influences, some of the important albums, important artists

Love it. I never knew my boy Lollipop had a SCA origin. Although now that you mention it and I listen to it, yes, of course it's SCA. But for all the years I've been listening to it never occurred to me that is amazing. I'm going to dive in to your playlist. Thanks for posting this

Hi, Tim. I really, really, really do hope that you enjoy it. And it's funny how songs do that. Sometimes they just go under the radar. One of my music friends pointed out that Another Brick In the Wall is a disco song and just listen to it. So there you go. Thanks
