Purist of Happiness

article image placeholderUploaded by @jkalloor
And I was just talking about how humans quickly return to kind of like their original level of happiness, even if they have, like, a huge positive or negative life event. And so it's kind of like if you keep making happiness your end destination, you're walking on a treadmill, you keep walking the same place. And this is a really kind of sad way of looking at it

I appreciate you! 🙏

We're going to stick with it if it's not. Hopefully I understand what I'm saying. But seeing the smile, seeing a person laughing, how many times have we seen Robin Williams do this? We've seen the lead singer of not Lip Biscuit, but of Lincoln Park. We see all these celebrities and major figures in life, people that we know. Oh, they laugh and smile all the time. That's not in Association with happiness

I'll be happy when I get this job. When I do this, when I do that, I think it's great to have kind of goals and aspirations, but I don't think you should wait to be happy. I don't know. I think it's definitely important to take accountability of your mistakes because otherwise, I feel like they're just going to be skeletons in your closet and ghosts of your past and something you can't really get over
