COVID, VUCA and radical transparency

There was kind of one group of people who got frustrated with all of the changes, which is understandable. And then there was another group that sort of understood why those changes were happening in near real time and appreciated the fact that our leaders, for lack of a better term, were reacting to the latest information that they had on the ground

What are you going to do? And there's obviously a pandemic. But like I said, maybe a little more finesse would have been nice just because of the amount of people that were affected by it and then shifting to a different job where I was able to work at home. I think that one of the things that I was really looking for in a job was that flexibility. And fortunately, a lot of employers are understanding that working from home is not all that bad

So to me, the qualities of good leader are bringing out the best in your employees, right, enabling them. It's very clear that people live, learn differently, work differently, and function differently. I'm a kind aesthetic learner. I need to be hands on. I need to be touching and doing things right. And so very much
