"The Night House," now in theaters, is very scary. Its director calls it "the Hellraiser movie he’d never get to make"

I will say I'm not sure it entirely sticks its landing, but this is a roller coaster ride of a horror film, one that I would not hesitate to recommend seeing with a crowd seeing late seeing on the biggest screen that you can if you can, and if you can't, I'll throw in that side wreck of the Ritual, which is on Netflix and readily accessible. It is equally as accomplished in my mind and does Mark David Buckner as someone to wire

I interviewed director David Bruckner for The Playlist. https://bit.ly/3z6ZJRk

And I think that the movie that came to mind was the most recent shot at The Invisible Man, a film which I really, really enjoyed. I thought it was incredibly creative, a unique twist on an old story. And I feel like the themes of stalking and of loss and all of these things, they sort of make their way into the storyline in a bit more of an organic way. I just felt more attached to everything that was going on
