Review: ‘CODA’ spotlights the Deaf experience, on Apple TV+

On the heels of this distribution deal being announced, Koda also swept the Sundance Festivals Award section, taking home the US Grand Jury Prize, the US Dramatic Audience Award, a special jury ensemble Cast award for its actors and the best director prize for writer director Sean Hayter. Now, with all that fanfare out of the way, how is Coda my answer and of course, your mileage may vary is that Koda is fine

Apple TV+’s Sundance darling (and potential Oscar contender) is a sweet coming-of-age story about a culturally Deaf family and their hearing daughter.

Coda review - after the Best Picture Oscar

It won for Best Picture and one has to see that it did because it was a lovely story, but it was also just a wonderful way to draw me into the deaf experience. What a unique take for a movie to do. Now I want to rent the French version of this and see that I loved it. It was an adorable movie. Very typical Cliche coming of age story. The teacher, the parents, the kid, the whole thing
