It's one of those films that swings for the fences seems like a can't miss proposition on paper inexplicably it still misses just about I was speaking with a friend fellow film critic Sean Burns at WBR Boston about the Harder They Fall, and we concluded that in its channeling of Django and chains, this is a film that really just adapts the Rick Ross music video stuff and does that for a quite sprawling and unnecessary 139 minutes.
