Passing and other forms of kind of social process through which people of color navigate white supremacist structures as those that exist in the United States have become more present and more explored in Hollywood film recently. I'm thinking, for example, of the white voice that will keep Stanfield employees in Sorry to bother you, that verbal code switching element that is a fact of life for many people of color in the United States

Set in the 1920s, Rebecca Hall’s elegant adaptation of Nella Larsen’s novella is a sight to see.
