Bernie Madoff King of the Ponzi Scheme Dies in Prison

And I think a lot of people didn't want to know exactly how he did it, but we're just happy that he was actually able to do it. Now that runs greed. And I think you really have to not be as greedy and really understand exactly what somebody is doing, no matter what the investing type is. But to always be skeptical when something sounds a little bit too good to be true

A reminder to us all to be careful when investing.

I hope it continues to ripple out as a beacon for people to feel there's a safeguard here. There's a community here. People can help you, not make stupid decisions. I just think doing stuff alone in the middle of the night, pushing buttons, trading. It's just all pretty scary. So glad this conversation is going on

Money + tech

Is it purely because of the technology aspect that you mentioned, or do you think someone like Bernie Madoff could still exist today could still get away with a Ponzi scheme like this, if not an even bigger one? Despite how much technology has grown and changed and the way that we invest and deal with money now has significantly changed since made offers, started his career

He's kind of a cult figure in India at the moment. That's mostly because the OTT platforms have, I wouldn't say, Glorified, but have showcased his sort of flashy life. And also, I mean, he came from nowhere. So he grew up in a slum in Bombay and then sort of understood the system and went ahead and made strategic trades, as he called it. I will get into the details in another post, but I think you'd find Hazard story equally interesting
