The story behind the brand?

Thank you, Pritesh. Thank you, mega. So let's dive right in. I did read somewhere that it was a casual visit to the mall that inspired a deeper investigation into the darker side of cosmetics and sparked the whole idea behind Juicy chemistry. So was it like an awakening of sorts for both of you? I'm really curious to know also the very name Juicy chemistry. Somehow Joe of strikes the right card. It is cool, it's profound, it's zippy

Yes, Amir. Actually, this was a very interesting incident that happened with myself in Mega on a regular visit to a mall where a salesperson tried to sell a new introduction into the market, which was, quote, unquote natural and Ayurvedic. Just out of curiosity and out of sheer boredom, I took a conversation with the salesperson trying to sell me this product. And I looked at the back of the ingredients and I found parabens sulfates colors, preservatives, artificial fragrances, to say the least

Red flag ingredients in cosmetics

That is a super interesting story, British as to what went behind the whole idea behind Juicy chemistry. But that kind of also makes me ask both you and Mega about the red flag ingredients in these beauty and personal care products. So I know there's a super long list of such ingredients that we should be watching out for. So what would you say are the top three things that one should look out for while purchasing cosmetics

@JuicyChemistry
Pritesh
@JuicyChemistryΒ Β·Β 2:15
Of course, there are going to be ingredients that may not suit every skin type, and that could be even something as simple as an aloe Vera, which may be the most gentle ingredient and something that every household might like to use, but it may not suit everybody nonetheless. So does that make alive a bad ingredient? It doesn't. So it's the same kind of philosophy that we maintain our duty chemistry where if the product is used in the right dosage, you do not have certain protocols

Also, as someone who has personally tried out some of your products, especially the Blood Orange and Rose Hip Lip Balm and Hazelnut and COCOM Hand and Foot Cream, I'm a huge fan of the Juicy Chemistry range. I discovered both of these products purely by chance when I was on your Instagram page and stumbled on a couple of posts that decoded these ingredients for me and totally blew my mind

Because Ayurveda, in its truest form, doesn't use a lot of the ingredients that you see packaged in an aura product showcased and sold commercially on the shelves. So the idea of Juicy Chemistry, like I said, was never to tell consumers that XYZ ingredient is bad or what we are doing is good or organic is the best. The idea was very simple. That complete transparency, complete honesty through what our products represent. When we say it's freshly made, it's actually freshly made

Sourcing & Star ingredients in the JC range?

Ingredients are your heroes. I so love that thought. So is there an ingredient in your product range that might really surprise our listeners or is there a particular ingredient that you would would probably call your superhero, something that frequently is used in your product line. So, for example, if I'm. Right, Rosie oil, blood Orange and cockadoop. These are ingredients that often occur that show up in your product range. Right

Favourites/go to products?

Hi Protation Mega So basically this question is for the both of you. I'd like to know what is your personal favorites or other Goto products from the juicy Chemistry range

So we do use a lot of ingredients from around the world because for us, it is important to identify what's the problem that we are looking to solve. We are looking to solve a specific issue that the consumer is coming to us with, maybe acne, maybe pigmentation. It could be hair, fall, tandruff, it could be aging, fine lines under eye puffiness and darkness, et cetera

And the one thing that we both can't do without absolutely is a Bulgarian rose water. So these are the basic products that we follow. We do a clean stone treat moisturize routine on a day to day basis. I, of course, like to use my account Autopilot mask twice a week. That's one product that I always have with me. Even if I'm traveling. I love to just apply it while I'm working from home. So these are our favorite products

How do you innovate?

Thank you for sharing that, Pradesh. So my next question is this. What are some of the things that you take into consideration when coming up with an idea or a concept for a new product? I would really love to know a little bit more about how you create your new products and the process a little bit about the process that goes into making them

@JuicyChemistry
Pritesh
@JuicyChemistryΒ Β·Β 5:00
They absolutely thank me for it for developing a product that's absolutely organic in its true form. So the concept behind every product comes from a requirement. It's the same with our latest range of active as well that we just launched in the market. It is not just another standard synthetic standardization that we follow where you say it's got 5%, 10%, 15% vitamin C PHA. Aha

For those who haven't made the big 'switch'

Okay, so this is sort of a tricky question. What would you say to consumers who haven't yet made the big switch to organic beauty and skincare
4
@JuicyChemistry
Pritesh
@JuicyChemistryΒ Β·Β 5:00
The amount of dedication that is shown by the brand in terms of creating the product also needs to translate from the consumers end to ensure that they are giving enough time for the product to work on them. Now, just because a product is organic or natural is not necessarily the right or the best choice for them because their individual needs could be obviously different from the other person. So I think skincare is a journey that you will have to take

Work life balance

That was really insightful, Pritesh. So my next question is to mega. So mega covid 19. And working from home has completely disrupted our routines and made work life spill all over the place in their lives. So how have you been dealing with this? I know you have a small kid at home. How best do you maintain this work life balance at a time like this

Our support system, be it my JC staff or be it my support staff at home during the last lockdown. It was really difficult at that time. I had to take a step back because Mira was also younger and needed a lot of attention their growing period. So British did have to take more pressure at work and I had to manage the balance at home. So I think you just go with the flow

Hi Jimin Natural Beauty Tips I like to keep it very simple. I personally love using potato juice for a lot of things because I think it's a very versatile ingredient and it did help me with my scarring issue. When I was bruised I faced an accident at a younger age and potato juices helped me a lot

Thank you @MeghaAsher @JuicyChemistry

I can see that there are already so many questions popping up from this well community here. I do hope you'll be able to take on a few of them if your schedule permits. But the great thing is you could always get around to answering them whenever where you're able to, and we could keep this amazing conversation going. Thank you once again, and you have a wonderful rest of the day. Bye

@Blessing0007

Thank you so much for that. It's a question we get asked quite a lot. It was a routine day in the kitchen, and, you know, Pritesh was trying his hands on to make a lovely Orange soap. And he thought he would mix fresh Orange juice into the soap because our soaps, that was our core differentiator. We were using fresh produce in our soaps. And unfortunately, what happened is the reaction resulted in a big Brown mess

Best products and word of wisdom #juicychemistry

You guys have been working as a unit and we've seen that in the early stages as a couple of lists especially there's a lot of problems which you encounter and then you do not feel that you are going to be spending your personal and your professional time together. I've seen it happening personally also that it has caused some drift even in the best of the relationship. So what is your word of wisdom to the others?
