In 2019, the Kerala government supported his dream of becoming a pilot by awarding him a scholarship to complete his training at the Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology. However, when he appeared for the medical assessment as mandated by the DGCA, he was unable to clear it as he was undergoing hormone replacement therapy
