India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant Commissioned
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commissioned Ins Vikrant, the first India made aircraft carrier which is 262 meters long and 62 meters wide and the largest warship to be built in Indian. The Vikrant can have 30 aircraft on board and a crew of nearly 1600. The 45,000 ton warship has been built at a cost of 20,000 crore rupees. With this, India joins the elite group of nations the US, Russia, France, UK and China who are capable of designing and constructing aircraft carriers
