Our democracy no longer represents us anymore. Our whole system of electing our representatives by twostage process nominations and elections has been manipulated and hijacked by mega elites, corporations and interest groups. The special bond that these people share with political parties are creating some people more equal than others. Hi. Ishan it's very telling that you shared the picture of the preamble of the Indian constitution? And, you know, I did say that the state would strive to be a socialist enterprise which would try and work for the oppressed. And, you know, I think over the last 70 years of India's independence, we've seen various organizations and movements that have tried to make things a lot more equal in the sense that people who need the representation get the representation

Instead of government being limited in what they are permitted to do it is now the State that greatly limits what we as individuals can and cannot do. This expanded role of the State and the immense power and its despair attracts, like a moth to a flame, the most power hungry among us. Powerful people, political power is unfortunately seen by many as the only power worth having. And those with the greatest thirst for power see the State as the best vehicle for their desire
