Somebody gave me a piece of paper and that actually translated into me losing the kilos by myself, with a little help from my cook, who would dish up whatever I asked her to, but ultimately boil down to me and my determination and my being able to stick with it. So that gave me the confidence to also start wondering about what can I do next with my life? And I think since I was already dabbling in writing and doing various things, the idea of a novel took place

As I look at it, Ramya India does not have a problem of obesity yet. What I would say is we are more aware than we were a couple of decades ago. Before the advent of internet and social media, all we had as role models to look up to were Bollywood stars. And our notions of how to dress and how to look and how much to weigh were all guided by the stars that we saw on the silver screen

This is a question ramya which should be answered with a quote by Rumi or one of those deep philosophical thinkers. Unfortunately, nothing comes to my mind right now, despite having read so many of them. This one is going to to be a little tricky to answer because I'm not particularly fond of talking about myself. However, to answer your question, self love, I mean, it is important to know yourself and to accept yourself
Thanks for that. Anuradha. I will leave you with this final question. If readers take only one thing away from your book, what do you hope it would be? I know it's sort of a tricky question, but I would really love to know. Is there a message page that you actually have in mind that you want your readers to take away from your book?

I don't really have a message for readers, Ramya, but I do hope that those who embark on Sierra's journey with me through the Secret of a Telltale diet, they learn from some of her mistakes. Because life is too short. We don't have time to make all the mistakes ourselves. Also, we cannot make the same mistakes over and over again because life is too short. But the one thing that's key is just be true to yourself
Thank you Anuradha for this very insightful conversation and for giving us a glimpse of what really went behind The Secret of a Telltale Diet. I loved having this chat with you and would definitely love to have you back on for more conversations, conversations around writing. I'm going to be sharing the Amazon link to the book here for our listeners to check out. Thanks again, all the best and more part of your words
