So I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but I do want to hear back from you guys. What do you think about that? The bird is free. Is it a good thing that everyone and anyone from all over the globe can say what they want to say?

So I think it's absolutely awful. This is one of the worst things that could have happened to Twitter or any medium on social media. And yeah, it's a very sad day, not just for democracy, but for humanity, because come Monday morning, or even later today, you never know. But I think Donald Trump said he'll be there Monday morning. When it comes to the behavior of Kanye or the violence that will come from Donald Trump

That kind of was the premise of Twitter. And of course, it makes sense why old tweets was bringing into question consequences for those actions. And cancel culture is weird to me. It's interesting, but it's weird. And with the Donald Trump and the insurrection and all that sort of stuff, if he comes back on Twitter and you see his account, there might be some I wouldn't be surprised if there would be protests, and who would think social media would have become that powerful?

George Floyd so we do know that you're not going to just be able to just get away with anything. This isn't going to be like open sesame, turn on your microphone and take someone's life live on Twitter and talk about it and everyone have a good time watching it. This is not the world that Elon Musk has any power to bring. So, yes, it's so important to highlight that point. Also, some good points that you made and especially the consequences

It has nothing to do with one's ability to cancel me and with social media. You cancel a person on one app, they jump on another. You cancel them on that one app, and they'll jump under a new username and still be there. It's almost impossible to cancel people. People tend to not be as relevant in Hollywood, and that's what makes the cancel culture thing that they did so much. But, you know, that part stood out to me

Maybe to simplify it would be to say that the free speech or the accountability portion should include that these people who have accounts, famous or not famous, verified or not verified, should not be able to incite terror or threats or non peaceful rallies. I believe there should be some criteria, some bulleted, really clear criteria of what people cannot do. You want to talk about sex, fine. You want to talk about drugs, fine. You want to talk about whatever

But he did not say that he was going to do all these things immediate. I think people just assume he will. But then again, people are allowed to think what they want to think. I like to look at the big picture, the whole picture, and watch it all just come into focus and make a judgment call because, you know, I don't have to be on Twitter. Like, if you let them, it's dangerous. If you let certain people have their way

Musk Trump and Money

You start firing their friends, you start firing the people that they work with, you're constantly looking over your shoulder. It's not healthy. And I don't know how that will translate into the performance of Twitter, but I'm guessing that's going to take a hit. And then with Trump, I did see a piece where he mentioned that he is going to stay on True Social for now

Or the type of content that we connect ourselves with. So business wise, you sound like you really know your thing on that. So that is interesting to know and I definitely will now keep an eye out for it. So I don't know why he would limit himself if he is now able to get back on the platform where he had the most fans, for sure. And he knows how his he knows that he's a huge impact on election coming up

Dee. I'm posting an article that I found last night that I think you might enjoy, but it's probably the best written article that I've seen on this whole Musk and Twitter thing. It's written by the Burgess Nalay Patel, and I fell asleep reading it, and then I dug into it again this morning. And I just think he does a very wonderful job talking about the challenges that both Elon Musk and Twitter have ahead of themselves

Hi, Phil. We even want to read that article. And I find this all fascinating as well as I'm thinking, like, how far is this going to go and what's the real agenda? Because businessmen are usually behind, like, what's going to happen next in the sense of laws that are are going to be laid out, right? And when you say Texas immediately, I'm here in Austin, so I am interested immediately to read that
