Be kind rewind - make it a Blockbuster night
By the time I was old enough to actually watch movies, I rented a copy from Blockbuster. Yup, Blockbuster, the building where you rented VHS tapes in the 90s. Going to actual movie theater to watch movies on the day it came out was such a big deal, and it was for people who had good money. My family, on the other hand, waited a couple of months, maybe even a couple of years, to watch those Blockbuster hits. It was a family event

Loved that trip down Memory Lane, especially playing the actual commercial at the end of that. Funnily enough, I actually used to work at a Blockbuster and I worked at a Blockbuster in the mid 2001st of all. It is hilarious to even say that I worked at a Blockbuster. It was pretty much 15 years ago, maybe a little more than 15 years now
And when our Blockbuster closed, they actually did this thing for a lot of the regulars where they, like, let you know where you were in terms of renters, like all time renters at the Blockbuster. And we made it into the top 500 in the city that I live in, which is just crazy. It tells you how often we were there. But I think that my love of movies really did stem from my dad. But it was reinforced by those trips to Blockbuster

And a lot of times, if I didn't want to risk the movie not being available, I would drive to that blockbuster across town after school, easily grab it because they had it in abundance at the non popular area. Blockbuster grab the movie, the hit movie, and then bring it home with this badge of honor and pride of, look, dad, I came to got the movies

It, man, these are some memories right here. I just got back from, like, New York about a few days ago, so I'm trying to catch up on everything that's been happening. Swell. So sorry, it took me a bit to reply, but I used to work at Hollywood Video. And man, we used to have beef with Blockbuster. Like they I think you're from Valeo, right? You're from Valeo

I miss being able to pick out movies, go down during the summers when my cousins were in town, they would stay all summer with my grandparents and we'd all go down there and we'd all pick out at least one movie for each of us. So my cousin and I would usually pick out something like action. We'd always get like, Jackie Chan movies and action type stuff. And then my other cousins would usually get they were younger, so they would get whatever that they wanted to
